ABOUT ABOUT

The Greater Bridgeport Area Prevention Program (GBAPP) is sponsoring an opioid overdose prevention and Naloxone (Narcan) training for Stratford families. Families with loved ones struggling with an opioid addiction often feel helpless, alone, and in fear of a fatal overdose. On Monday, December 5th, 2016 Stratford families are invited to hear from a panel of Stratford organizations to find out about treatment resources and family support services, learn how to identify an overdose and how to use Narcan in the event of an overdose, as well as receive a free Narcan Treatment Kit, which is a Department of Public Health funded initiative.

This free event is from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the Birdseye Municipal Complex, Room 110. The Birdseye Municipal Complex is located at 468 Birdseye Street in Stratford, CT. The entrance and parking are located in the rear of the building. Space for the event is limited, so please register as soon as possible.
